Cooking and Baking have been a passion of mine since I was a young girl.

Started helping out my mom who had a catering business preparing meals for

hundreds of factory workers and many family parties.

Looking back to my childhood days, my given name is Catharina. Yes, it is a Dutch name!

but my family always called me "Rina", yet most of my friends called me "Cathy".

When I was in college, I had many lifelong friends from all corners of the globe.

Often tried to adjust the recipes with my own twists.

On my 3rd year of college, I took a gap year travelling with Up With People.

Living in a suitcase for a year travelling across 36 states and 12 countries in 3 continents

had expanded my LOVE of 'Foodies'.

After 17 years of volunteering and advocating for poverty alleviation, I have mentored and

facilitated visits to hundreds of soup kitchens across the United States. I started figuring out a

menu of nutritious meals with a minimal budget, $ 2.00 per person for over 100 individuals at a

time, purchasing groceries, preparing meals and serving warm meals to those individuals in need.

By the end of 2020, over 25,000 hot meals have been prepared and served.
